Recent press for Vino Vino…

Austin Monthly “Best Wines Bars”: “Whether you’re an oenophile or don’t know your merlots from your cabernets, the Vino Vino staff (see sidebar) is always enthusiastic about finding the best bottle, among its hundreds, for your budget and taste. With a cozy atmosphere and menu that allows for pairing french fries and Champagne (a recommended combination), as well as its Sunday paella nights, it’s sure to become your favorite neighborhood wine pub—even if it’s not in your neighborhood.”

Thrillist “Best Burgers”: “Not a wine fan? Don’t worry, Vino Vino is also home to the Nine 2-12 burger. The patty is made from ground Wagyu beef from Strube Ranch and it is topped with melted Holy Cow cheese and house-made pickles — all on top of a kolache bun. You might be wondering about the name. Sadly 9pm-12am is the only time you can get this burger, so when you want this potentially life-altering experience, you’ll have to eat a bit late.”

Austin360: “winner of the Your A-List poll for Best Place to Sip Wine.”

Austin Chronicle: “Every once in a while, something comes along that’s like a gift from Bacchus for wine lovers. Such is Vino Vino, one of the hybrid wineshop/wine bar/eateries popping up around Austin.”

Citysearch: “a swanky yet cozy space filled nightly with romantic dates and small gatherings chatting over a glass or bottle of choice wine. The rich interior with century-old wood floors and a lengthy wooden bar glows with soft, warm light, highlighting the massive wall of wine categorized by weight. The small menu is extravagant, with pork, chicken liver and truffle pate and beef tartare garnished with quail egg and brown-butter champagne vinaigrette.”
